Feeding the needy

Islam encourages feeding those in need. Many passages in the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet call upon believers to feed the poor. Allah Almighty says: “Yet they have not attempted the steep path. And what will make you understand what the steep path is? It is freeing an enslaved person, or feeding, on a day of severe hunger, an orphan who is a close relative, or a person in desperate poverty.”
